The groom's family hosted a dinner at a home overseeing the ocean. The view was gorgeous, of course, but photos of that can be seen online (Google Trinidad, California).

I chose to focus on the interaction inside. The vibe was so welcoming and genuinely happy for the couple and each other. Everyone was so relaxed and Lauren's bff entertained everyone with her stories of when Lauren was a little girl.

The inside was very dark, yet the huge windows provided a lot of light reflecting off the water. I couldn't get the white balance right, and I tried all my presets in my camera. I tried flash with a makeshift deflector, and that helped a little.
